REFLECTION

Experiences: It came to the end of this semester and the only word that I can describe my feeling is tired. Throughout this 14 weeks, I went through a lot and I gain a lot of experiences as well as knowledges on Typography. I got to learn calligraphy skills that I always want to learn, expressing the word by understand its meaning, design and express a story book and also designing font with illustrator. All of the module is quite challenging and there is the time I felt lost in the class but I was able to catch up with the help of my friend and also both of my lecturer.

Observations: I noticed that I'm quite weak at expressing the type and more effort is still needed. Every time I doing the exercise related to expression,  I loss my confidence as I knew that my outcome is not that good if compared to others. But, I tried to learn from the mistakes that I have made and the feedbacks given from my lecturers. I think I got to see some improvements after completing this module.

Findings: Designing is a process and it took times. I need to do more explorations and study more when designing the font or the type in order to come out with a better design. Other than that, time management is also one of the things that I have learnt. Not only this module, I have assignments for other modules as well. So, I need to plan and manage my time well to make sure that I can complete my work on time. Besides that, I have to put a lot off efforts when I knew that I'm not good in that area. Sometimes, I lost my confidence when the project is quite challenging but if I work harder I can see some improvements from there.
