RESEARCH IMPLEMENTATION - DRAFT DISSERTATION 

Week 1 (02/04/19)

In the first week of class, we were given a short brief about this module and the assignments that we will be complete in the following weeks. Basically, this module is a continuous exposure of the Design Research Methodology module and we need to form a dissertation based on the research done in the previous semester.

Meanwhile, we were also introduced to our first project in which we were required to come up with a draft of the dissertation. The necessary contents to be included in the paper were mentioned in the module outline. Hence, we can follow it as a guide to form our dissertation. To start off, we were told to look through our slides from the previous semester and see whether if there is any part we want to tweak or change. For me, I decided to leave it as it was. Later, we were instructed to create a matrix and complete two to three literature reviews before the next class.

Week 2 (09/04/19)

This week, Ms. Jinchi shared a document regarding the method to write an effective discussion with us. She also printed copies of the document and gave them to us so that we can refer to them easily. In class, we were also given some time to read it as it will help us in writing the discussion.

During the consultation, I managed to show Ms.Jinchi the matrix and literature review that I have completed so far. With the feedback received, I would need to do corrections on it. At the end of consultation, we were then instructed to complete all the literature reviews, matrix and start working on the draft for the structure.

Week 3 (16/04/19)

My progress is a bit slow in the previous week and I only managed to complete three literature reviews. Hence, I was given some extra time to complete the rest of it by this week. At the same time, I was also required to continue working on the dissertation draft by following the lists of contents provided in the module outline.

Week 4 (23/04/19)

This week, I got to have a consultation with Ms. Jinchi to show the progress of the dissertation draft. She checked on the structure that I have done so far and guided me in writing the sub-topics for the discussion part. I was also told to write at least two sub-topics for the next review.

Week 5 (30/04/19)

In this week's class, Ms. Jinchi went through my dissertation draft and gave some feedback on it. After receiving the feedback, I would also need to make some improvements and complete the draft as next week is the submission day.

Week 6 (07/05/19)

This week, I was able to have a consultation with Ms. Jinchi and received feedback from her. With the feedback received, I needed to improve my dissertation draft before submitting. Meanwhile, she also instructed us to submit the hardcopy and softcopy of the dissertation draft by this Friday.
