Four Lenses (Week 9 - Week 13)

Week 9 - Week 13 (25/10/19 - 22/11/19)
Moving on from the persona, we were brief on the third project, which was to describe the four lenses (company, category, consumer and culture). It requires us to do a lot of research and study on the current education industry to find out the opportunities in standing out from the competitors. Through this, we will be able to look at things from a different perspective.

REFLECTION

Experiences
This project requires a lot of research on the education industry. Hence, it is very time-consuming and tiresome to be completing. However, it was still a good learning experience to look at the challenges faced by the brand through the four lenses.  

Observations
I observed that the category part is the hardest as we need to understand the current state of the education industry and macro-environmental factors that have an impact on Taylor's by doing PESTEL analysis. Also, we have to examine the strength and weakness of the competitors using a SWOT analysis. 

Findings 
I found that the four lenses are useful for a company to improve its business in this fast and rapidly changing environment. It highlights unrealised possibilities to increase company performance, shows weaknesses and pain points that may detract from reaching the goals and objectives.
