REFLECTION
Experiences
This project is similar to the project we did in the previous semester, where we need to collect 20 logos and write a short description about it every week. Hence, I didn't find this project challenging for me. However, it was very time-consuming as I need to do a lot of researches about logos history and meaning to understand the effectiveness of the logos to be recognised by people. Overall, it was indeed a good learning experience as I gain a lot of knowledge on how the brand logo is developed.
Observations
There are many logos I encounter in my daily lives. But, I did not really pay attention to the details and meanings behind it. While throughout the process of researching, I noticed there are lots of successful logos having a hidden meaning which is interesting to know. Also, I managed to see how the design features in those logos help the brand to stand out from their competitors.
Findings
As compared to the previous semester, I found myself getting better in researching about the logos. Previously, I have analysed more on the graphic elements that build up the identity for the brand. While for this semester, I tend to look up more on the history and meanings of the logo that drives the brand to be recognisable and successful.
