Presentation & Situation Analysis (Week 4 - Week 5)

Week 4 - Week 5 (17/09/19 - 24/09/19)
For the second part of this project, we were required to propose a cause/campaign/event for our brand. We have to conduct in-depth research on the subject and its market by looking at SWOT (strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats). Just like the previous project, we were given one week to prepare. The presentation was expected to be easy to understand, clean, clear and concise.

REFLECTION

Experiences
Through this project, I managed to have the experience to propose an event that I would like to conduct with its SWOT analysis. It was not that hard to create a SWOT, but it was time-consuming to research it. The hardest part of this project was undoubted to come up with an event. I felt lost and struggle with the part I should start from. Therefore, it took me some time to look up for other events to get inspirations. 

Observations 
I observed that the SWOT analysis is an important tool to analyse the overall strategic position of the brand. It helps us to identify the aspects we could take advantage and weakness that could be an opportunity for your business. By coming up with the SWOT, I manage to learn how to evaluate the brand competitive position and to develop strategic planning.

Findings 
I felt that the process of branding an event is not as easy as I think. There are lots of aspects I need to critic and analyse. Also, I found that I didn't do well in proposing the event as there is not much time for me to do more in-depth research. Hence, the event doesn't sound interesting. If there is an opportunity in the future, I hope I could come up with a better event than this.
