FINAL PROJECT

Week 14
(29/06/18)

This week, we were given a brief for our final project. Basically, we were required to come out with a surrealistic gif by editing as well as manipulating the image at Adobe Photoshop and animate it at After Effects later on. The images used can be either stock images or our own photographs but they must have a visual or conceptual theme. To start this project, I searched some reference images and made a mood board for it. Once I gathered the reference images, I started to think for the composition as we were allow to recreate a new composition for our final.

Week 15
(06/07/18)

After thinking for the composition and theme, I gathered all the images that I could use from Google, Pixabay and Pexels. Then, I began to recreate the composition for this project in photoshop.

Week 16
(09/07/18)

This week will be the deadline for our final project.  I continue my work by importing the photoshop file at after effects to add subtle movements for it. In this project, Adobe After Effects is considere the biggest challenge for me as I'm still not that familiar with it. To overcome the problems I faced, I watched some tutorials on YouTube and learned some new techniques on after effects. The figures below have showed my progress on this project.

Once I done with that, I add the final animation to render queue and save it as Jpeg sequence. After that, heading to photoshop and set the workspace to motion. To import the file that I saved in after effects previously, I import it as video layers and photoshop have already puts the file in animation. Lastly, I went to file, export and save for web legacy to proceed with saving the GIF.
